Pacific Investment Links With Singapore Managers
NEWPORT BEACH — Pacific Investment Management Co., which expanded its investment advisor services to Asia last fall, said Thursday that it has formed an alliance with two asset managers in Singapore.
Pacific Investment, a subsidiary of publicly traded Pimco Advisors LP, said it took a 49% interest in Pacific Asset Management Pte. Ltd., which will continue to be run by managing partners Ho Tian Yee and Greg Seow. Pacific Asset will serve institutional investors interested primarily in Southeast Asian currency and fixed-income funds management.
Pacific Investment opened its own office in Singapore Oct. 30 to serve customers interested mainly in U.S. securities. The Newport Beach company manages $88 billion in investments for large companies, foundations, endowments and governmental bodies worldwide.
