The Chargers are surging at the right time, thanks in part to Prestegard. Last week she was extremely productive, playing a part in eight goals in two Sunset League victories. She had three goals and one assist in a 4-1 victory over Marina and two goals and two assists in a 4-2 victory over Huntington Beach.

* Capistrano Valley, senior. Delgado scored two goals in a 3-2 South Coast League victory over Dana Hills.

Cathy Joens/Basketball/Forward

* Woodbridge, sophomore. Joens scored 18 points in the Warriors’ 58-49 nonleague victory over Mater Dei.

Amanda Freed/Soccer/Forward

* Pacifica, junior. Freed scored three goals in a 6-0 victory over La Quinta and four in a 5-0 victory over Los Amigos.
