Iverson Benched for a Quarter

Philadelphia rookie Allen Iverson didn’t start in the 76ers’ loss to Miami on Saturday and was benched the entire first quarter by Coach Johnny Davis after missing practice on Friday. He finished with 13 points on three-of-13 shooting in 24 minutes. Iverson has made only 12 of 54 shots in three games since the All-Star break.

Center-forward Alan Henderson, who has been sidelined this season because of viral pancreatitis, was activated by the Atlanta Hawks.
