Vandiver, a sophomore outfielder from Pacifica High, has a different name, but little else has changed. Vandiver, the former Rachelle Breig who stole 44 bases for Cypress in 1995 but took a year off after getting married, is back and having another strong season. Vandiver hit .688 (11 for 16), scored nine runs and scored five as Cypress went 7-0 and won the Ventura tournament. She is hitting .450 this season.
