A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was ordered Friday to stand trial on charges of robbery and possessing illegal steroids.
Timothy Sladeck, 28, was scheduled to be arraigned May 12 in Orange County Superior Court on charges stemming from the Jan. 8 robbery of a Lake Forest jewelry store. He also faces charges of possessing illegal steroids that authorities said were found in his home in Foothill Ranch.
The seven-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department was relieved of his duties as a bailiff at the metropolitan branch courthouse in Los Angeles after his arrest.
Sladeck was traced through a cowboy hat he allegedly left behind in the Jewel Garden. He was later identified by a victim of the robbery, authorities said.
