When you want to soothe, soak and rejuvenate yourself, you no longer need to head to Europe, Club Med or La Costa.
Thalasso Bretagne, a seaweed-based treatment line, brings the spa to your home.
Thalasso Bretagne, based on the concept of Thalassotherapy, which is widely practiced throughout Europe at centers known as the Waters, includes products for the face, body and bath that feature seawater, sea mud and fresh seaweed.
“These products turn your home into a spa,” says Kathy Delmas, company spokeswoman. “The products, which are highly concentrated, stimulate with fresh, active seaweed, nutrients and vitamins. It’s an inside-out approach.”
Begin your spa treatment with the facial products--cleansing milk, tonic lotion, cleansing emulsion foam and a purifying mask or a moisturizing mask.
Continue with the body product line, which includes massaging soap, slimming spray, exfoliating foaming gel, slimming firming gel, bust treatment and gel for tired legs.
To enhance your experience, add the bath collection, which includes non-foaming bath gel, slenderizing foaming bath gel, toning foaming bath gel and algal marine salts.
Thalasso Bretagne products range from $32 to $85. Call (800) 758-3908.
Totally Tiffany
What do china and the Super Bowl trophy have in common?
Both are part of an exhibition celebrating craftsmanship that will be on display at Tiffany & Co. at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
“Tiffany Makers” is a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s designs and workmanship for the past 160 years.
The display will present the tools of the trade, which are used to craft Tiffany jewelry, sterling silver flatware, holloware and private-stock china--and, yes, the Lombardi Trophy.
The china ($1,300 per place setting; individual pieces range from $225-$450), part of the Nature collection, is hand-painted using traditional methods.
The exhibition runs through June 15. Call (714) 540-5330.
It’s a Sleeper
The newest collection of daybeds by Charles P. Rogers could make your night . . . and your guest’s night too.
Daybeds, a stylish alternative to sleeper sofas, are built to accommodate a standard mattress and box spring rather than the thin substitutes in most sleeper couches--something your guests will appreciate.
The daybeds by Charles P. Rogers, which specializes in brass and iron bed styles, can be used as two- or three-sided frames, allowing for flexibility of appearance in a den, office or bedroom.
The Campaign, modeled after original styles designed for Roman army officers, is available in standard daybed widths (33 inches, about $900) or standard twin (39 inches, about $1,000).
It also can be fitted with a pop-up trundle unit (an additional $239 for each unit), which is ideal for slumber parties or extra guests in rooms where space is at a premium.
For information on the line of Charles P. Rogers beds, call (800) 272-7726.
