OXNARD — A 31-year-old Oxnard man was killed Saturday night in a two-car crash at Wooley Road and Rose Avenue.
Oxnard police officers, who were investigating the crash late Saturday, said that in addition to the fatality, two men were injured when their pickup truck collided with the sedan at 8 p.m.
Authorities said the man who died was dressed in a soccer uniform, but they did not know whether he was going to or coming from a game.
He was trapped inside his car, which was pushed against a tree, said Oxnard Fire Capt. Dennis Phelps.
The man, whose name was not released, suffered massive head injuries and died on the way to the hospital, Phelps said.
The other men suffered serious injuries and were transported to Ventura County Medical Center. Their conditions and names were not available late Saturday.
