Suspects Sought in Man’s Stabbing

VENTURA — Police were searching for suspects Saturday night in a stabbing at Westpark Recreation Center in the Ventura Avenue area.
About 6 p.m., 42-year-old Jeffery Allen Sanderson of Ventura was stabbed twice in the jowl, said Ventura Police Sgt. Bob Velez. Sanderson said he was beaten up in bushes behind the center at 450 W. Harrison Ave.
He told authorities that he was not sure who attacked him.
Sanderson was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was reported in guarded condition.
