Pepperdine Qualifies for Golf Championships

The Pepperdine men’s golf team finished ninth and captured the final qualifying spot for the NCAA Championships at the West Regional Saturday at Carlton Oaks Country Club in San Diego.
The Waves finished with a three-round total of 872, eight over par. Former Hart High standout Jason Gore led Pepperdine by shooting two-under-par 214 for the tournament, including a three-under 69 in the final round.
USC’s Chad Wright, a Buena High graduate, and Brian Hull, from La Canada High, each shot 213.
