Kevorkian’s AMA Libel Suit Allowed

Dr. Jack Kevorkian scored a victory in his long-running battle with the American Medical Assn. when a judge ruled that the assisted-suicide crusader’s $10-million defamation lawsuit against the organization should go to trial. Kevorkian attorney Geoffrey Fieger said in a press release that he planned to immediately proceed to a jury trial. He accused the AMA of slander and defamation for calling him a “killer.”
