Four score: When sophomore Amy Skieresz of the University of Arizona won the 5,000 and 10,000 meters in last week’s NCAA track and field championships in Bloomington, Ind., she completed a unique quadruple.
Skieresz, a 1995 graduate of Agoura High, became the first woman to win Division I titles in cross-country, the indoor 5,000 and in the outdoor 5,000 and 10,000 during the same school year.
Jen Rhines of Villanova won NCAA championships in cross-country and in the indoor and outdoor 5,000 during the 1994-95 school year, but Skieresz is the first to win the distance grand slam.
