Breakfast to Support ‘Elect Women’ Goal
More than a dozen professionals and elected officials will gather at a League of Women Voters breakfast Saturday to promote the organization’s “Elect Women: 50/50 by 2020” campaign.
The breakfast will be from 8 to 10 a.m. at the MainPlace Nordstrom in Santa Ana.
The campaign will help the league meet its goal to see women holding half of all elected positions by 2020. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Central Orange County Area and Nordstrom MainPlace.
Among those scheduled to appear at the breakfast are Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove), Lucky Killea, president and chief executive officer of the Pacific American Community Foundation, and several mayors including Tracy Wills Worley of Tustin, and Joanne Coontz of Orange.
Tickets are $20 with reservations or $25 at the door.
