Capitals Prevail on Ranger Generosity

Joe Juneau scored with 1:15 left in overtime to give the Washington Capitals a 3-2 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday night at New York.
The Rangers appeared headed for their NHL-leading 10th tie when Juneau scored after New York goaltender Mike Richter misplayed the puck in the crease.
St. Louis 3, New Jersey 1--Craig Conroy, who previously had 18 assists in 101 games and never more than two in a game, set up all of visiting St Louis’ goals, helping the Blues end a season-high, five-game winless streak.
Colorado 4, Edmonton 2--Peter Forsberg scored two goals at Denver as the Avalanche improved to 10-0-1 against the Oilers.
Ottawa 4, New York Islanders 2--The Senators extended their unbeaten streak against the Islanders to seven games (4-0-3) by winning at Uniondale, N.Y.
