Rush for the Roses

As part of the frenzied preparations for the 100th Touurnament of Roses Parade, workers and volunteers for the Phoenix Decorating Co. put leaves, bark and seeds on floats at the Rose Palace in Pasadena. Visitors can get a preview of the floats from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Dec. 31 at the Rose Palace, 835 S. Raymond Ave. They can also view float-building at Pasadena’s Rosemont Pavilion, 700 Seco St., the Brookside Tent adjacent to the Rose Bowl and Buena Vista Pavilion, 2100 Buena Vista Ave., Duarte.
