Tustin High Named Blue Ribbon Nominee
Tustin High School has been nominated as a 1998 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. The school was named a California Distinguished School in 1996.
“This nomination represents all the hard work and effort of our students, teachers, staff, parents, volunteers and business partners in providing a high-quality educational program to our school community,” Principal Larry Carlson said.
About 107 applications were submitted from California, according to state officials. From those, 29 high schools and 17 middle schools--including five in Orange County--were named Blue Ribbon Nominees.
The school now awaits a February visit by a national committee for the Education Department’s Blue Ribbon Schools program.
