Benign End to a Volatile Week
Stock prices stabilized in much of Asia, Europe and the Americas on Friday, for a relatively quiet finish to a record-breaking week. The Dow industrials gained 60.41 points to 7,442.08, cutting the net loss for the week to 273.33 points, or 3.5%. (Story, D2.) Changes in some key market indicators for the week:
