High-Speed Chase Ends With Arrest of Parolee

Police arrested a parolee in a stolen car Thursday after he led officers on a 40-minute chase through Orange, Garden Grove and Anaheim, officials said.
About 3:15 p.m., Orange narcotics officers outside the Motel 6 at Chapman Avenue and State College Boulevard gave chase when a parolee they were watching drove off in a stolen car, police said.
The chase got up to 85 mph, and even ran onto the sidewalk along Chapman at one point, police said.
Officers finally captured the man at another Motel 6, at 100 W. Freedman Way, police said.
The man’s name was not available Thursday night.
