Holiday Cards on Sale at 2 Libraries
While living at a battered-women’s shelter with her mother in San Clemente, 11-year-old Elizabeth designed a Christmas card to raise money for families affected by domestic violence.
Her card, now sold by Laura’s House, is one of dozens on display and for sale at San Juan Capistrano and Dana Niguel libraries.
Kay Hockema and Barbara Sanderson, volunteers at the San Clemente shelter, assembled the two displays using cards from more than 20 local nonprofit organizations.
The exhibits will be on display through Nov. 30. Information: Dana Niguel (714) 496-5517 or San Juan Capistrano (714) 493-1752.
