IRS ‘Problem-Solving Day’ Set for Nov. 15
The Internal Revenue Service, hit by criticisms of incompetence and widespread problems during recent hearings before Congress, has scheduled time Nov. 15 for people with long-standing tax problems to meet agents.
The first “Problem-Solving Day” will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chet Holifield Federal Building, 24000 Avila Road in Laguna Niguel.
“We want to reach out to taxpayers who have been unable to resolve their problems,” District Director Marilyn Soulsberg said.
Those interested are advised to call (714) 360-2178 to make an appointment.
Other problem-solving days will be held in Riverside in December, Santa Ana in February and Long Beach in March.
