Irvine Valley College Enrollment up 4%
Enrollment at Irvine Valley College is up 4% compared with last year, campus officials said.
The college has enrolled 11,243 students this fall compared with 10,821 for the fall 1996 semester.
The campus added 38 classes, including telecourses, weekend college and honors sections. Computer science, business, social science and math classes were most in demand.
Course sections averaged 36.5 students compared with 35.8 students in 1996.
Students still can enroll in eight-week classes that begin Oct. 20. Spring applications are available Nov. 3. The college is at 5550 Irvine Center Drive.
