Murals, Plaza Decorate Newest Metrolink Station
Four colorful murals by area artists and a large plaza will showcase the new Montebello/Commerce Metrolink station, the newest link in Southern California’s commuter train network.
“It is a beautiful station,” said Rose Rojas, who rides by on the way to her job in Glendale every morning.
The station, just north of Washington Avenue and east of Garfield Avenue, will offer free shuttle service in 21-seat vans for commuters who work in Montebello, Commerce, Pico Rivera, Rosemead and parts of East Los Angeles. People who want to use the shuttle, known as Montebello Link, should call (888) 784-5826 or (888) QUICKVAN to reserve a seat.
