Elderly Care, Abuse Focus of Campaign
The Orange County Council on Aging has begun a public awareness campaign on care for the elderly and on financial abuse.
“The council’s mission is to act as a resource on all issues regarding aging,” Pamela McGovern, the agency’s executive director, said.
Among the council’s programs are long-term ombudsman services, which monitor elderly care facilities, and the fiduciary abuse specialist team, which works to make improvements in that area in Orange County.
