Elliott Parks
Saddleback, Freshman
Track and Field
Parks, from El Toro High, had been bothered by a sore back since mid-March. It limited his ability to practice high jumping. But he has started to feel better and proved it with a record-setting jump of 7 feet 2 1/4 inches Friday at the Mt. San Antonio Relays. It was a Saddleback and meet record.
Baseball
Joe Urban
* Santa Ana, freshman. He was 12 for 18, including seven doubles, and drove in nine runs as the Dons won three of four games.

Tom, a first baseman from La Habra High, has had little trouble finding a place with the defending state champion Chargers. She leads the team in hitting at .367. Tom was three for seven, including two doubles, and drove in five runs and scored two as Cypress won its mini-tournament.
Softball
