In Brief
** 1/2 Lisa Gerrard & Peter Bourke, “Duality,” 4AD. The Dead Can Dance singer’s voice remains haunting on her second solo album, a collaboration with percussionist Bourke. Those vocals (all save one in Gerrard’s own invented language), beats and samples can take one, almost cinematically, from Catholic Mass to Egyptian belly dances, spaghetti westerns and, unfortunately, sometimes to the gates of hell. An evil stepsister to Enya’s Cinderella.
