Sprinkle Pours It on for Master’s
Preston Sprinkle hit two home runs and drove in four runs to help The Master’s defeat Cal Lutheran, 14-4, in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Master’s.
Josh Felice had three hits and two runs batted in for the Mustangs (30-7), who had 17 hits.
Joseph Jauregui had two hits and two RBIs for Cal Lutheran (21-7).
In other college baseball games:
Ventura 11, Valley 4--Mario Robledo had three hits, two RBIs and scored twice for Ventura (13-17, 5-13) in a Western State Conference interdivision game at Valley (12-19, 7-13).
Adrian Gascon drove in three runs with three hits for Ventura.
Canyons 9, Moorpark 6--Brian Bishop earned his sixth save in a WSC interdivision game at Canyons (21-12, 12-8).
Zac Gordon hit his seventh and eighth home runs for Moorpark.
Hancock 9, Pierce 7--David Lusk had two hits and two RBIs for host Pierce (18-14, 11-9), but Hancock hit five home runs in the WSC interdivision game.
Cuesta 9, Oxnard 4--Brent Egan had two hits for Oxnard (22-9, 13-5) in a WSC North Division game at Cuesta.
HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL
Reseda 13, Van Nuys 3--Stephanie Yeatts pitched a five-hitter and struck out 10 for Reseda (5-5, 4-1) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Van Nuys (1-9, 0-5). She also had four hits and two RBIs.
BOYS’ TRACK
El Camino Real 74, Kennedy 53--Quincy Wright of El Camino Real (5-0, 5-0) won the 100 meters in 10.9 seconds, the 220 yards in 22.5 and ran a leg on the winning 440 relay team in a Northwest Valley Conference meet at Kennedy.
BOYS’ TENNIS
Agoura 11, Royal 7--The No. 1 doubles team of Amir Nejad and Steve Moses swept three sets for Agoura (11-2, 8-1) in a Marmonte League match at Rancho Simi Community Park.
Harvard-Westlake 14, St. Francis 4--The Wolverines were 8-1 in doubles play in the Mission League victory at Studio City Golf and Tennis.
HIGH SCHOOL GOLF
Crescenta Valley 216, Arcadia 219--Kevin Baik shot two-over-par 39 Crescenta Valley (10-5, 6-2) in a Pacific League match at Oakmont Country Club that was Arcadia’s first nonplayoff match loss in five years (107 matches).
Camarillo 371, Agoura 372, Thousand Oaks 378--Jess Card shot a one-over-par 68 for Camarillo in a nonleague match at Westlake Golf Course. Ben Hsiang of Agoura (9-10) was the medalist with a 67.
Nordhoff 368, Oak Park 429--Jeff Coburn and Shawn Andrews each shot one-under-par 71 and Ryan Blatz toured the Soule Park course in 73 strokes for Nordhoff (13-3) in a nonleague match.
