Computer Center Will Serve 14 School Districts
A center with 25 computers serving 14 area school districts opens today at Edwards Middle School.
The Whittier Community Technology Access Center will serve as a training center open after school hours and on Saturdays for students, teachers, parents and community members.
The facility is supported with a $20,000 grant from AT&T; and the Los Angeles County Office of Education. It is one of 25 such centers opening in the county.
The school districts that can use the Whittier center are: ABC, Bellflower, Downey, East Whittier, El Rancho, Little Lake, Los Nietos, Lowell-Joint, Lynwood, Montebello, Norwalk-La Mirada, Paramount, South Whittier and Whittier City.
