Music, New Age Product Exhibits to Be Part of Earth Day Festival
Live music, children’s games and more than 50 environmental groups and vendors will sell products and display information Saturday as part of Earth Day celebrations, held by Volunteers and Organizations Improving the Community’s Environment and the city of Manhattan Beach.
Actor Ed Begley Jr. will hold a presentation on Saturn’s EV1 Electric Car, and Eco-Home Network will display parts of Eco-Lodge, a self-sustaining solar powered unit.
Other activities will include an Earth Activity Walk, and the Eco-Challenge, an ecology based scavenger hunt. Live music by the Zoo People, Andy & Renee and Dave Robyn will also be featured.
The 7th annual event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach. Admission and parking are free.
