Outdoor Art Show Is Rescheduled for Saturday
An outdoor art show at Gen. Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park, twice before postponed because of rain, has been rescheduled for Saturday.
“It’s now or never,” Park Ranger Ginny McVickar said, adding that if it rains, the event will not take place.
The second annual Art in the Park event, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., features works by about 15 landscape artists and photographers. Proceeds will benefit the Wagon Wheel Natural History Assn., a nonprofit organization that supports outdoor education programs in the park.
Students from Wagon Wheel Elementary School and Carden Academy will present an exhibit called “Art for Kids.”
The park is off Oso Parkway, six miles east of Interstate 5, just before the South Ranch entrance to Coto de Caza. Information: (714) 459-1687.
