Board Approves Maintenance Projects
From $9,000 for termite control to $75,000 for new basketball courts, the Conejo Valley Unified School District board has unanimously approved $1.4 million in major maintenance projects.
“It would have been twice as much if the bond had passed,” Sean G. Corrigan, director of planning and facilities, said Tuesday, referring to the $97-million school bond recently rejected by voters.
Despite the bond defeat, Corrigan said the maintenance fund has more money available this year than usual.
Most of the maintenance dollars will go toward re-roofing projects and lighting upgrades throughout the district.
