Woman’s Body Found Behind Embankment
A woman’s body was found Wednesday off a trail in Angeles National Forest, sheriff’s deputies said.
The body was discovered by a passerby about 7 p.m. behind an embankment off the Chantry Flats Truck Trail, near Santa Anita Canyon Road, authorities said. That area and other locales in the forest are frequent dumping spots for murder victims.
Homicide detectives were investigating the scene late Wednesday, but the cause of death, the woman’s identity and other details were still unknown. There were no suspects Wednesday night.
