Favored Feverish Wins Del Mar $55,200 Feature

DEL MAR — Feverish, the even-money favorite, took the lead on the turn for home and went on to win Thursday’s $55,200 feature race at Del Mar by eight lengths over Lite Twilight.
Ridden by Chris McCarron and carrying 114 pounds, Feverish covered one mile in 1 minute 37 seconds and paid $4, $2.80 and $2.40.
The victory was the third in nine starts for Feverish and was worth $33,120--raising the career earnings of the 3-year-old daughter of Pirate’s Bounty to $120,468.
