Knollwood Remodeling Is Underway

The driving range remodeling at Knollwood Country Club recommenced Wednesday as bulldozers began leveling ground at the Granada Hills course.

The project, which began in December, had been delayed several months while officials waited for environmental impact reports. With approval finally granted from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the range is expected to open in late November.

Plans set: Construction on a new clubhouse at Woodley Lakes Golf Course in Van Nuys will begin in the next 30 days, said project manager Armando De La O. The new facility is expected to be completed in the fall of 1999. It will be a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse that includes a restaurant, changing room, pro shop, restroom and administrative offices.
