Oxley Finishes First in Speedway Main Event

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 6,429 Saturday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Brea’s Shawn McConnell, who also won the handicap main, was second, Ed Castro of Ojai third, Gary Hicks of Riverside fourth and Charles Venegas of San Bernardino finished fifth.
