* “A Holiday Cabaret”--Dale Kristien, Maureen McGovern, Amanda McBroom and other notables appear in an evening of song Friday only at the Alex Theatre to benefit Para Los Ninos.

* “Great Expectations”--The critically acclaimed production of the Dickens classic returns Saturday at A Noise Within and continues Thursdays through Saturdays, ending Dec. 20.
