Smartflex Will Acquire Bankrupt Company

Smartflex Systems Inc. said it agreed to acquire Tanon Manufacturing Inc., which filed a bankruptcy petition Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Smartflex, based in Tustin, makes electronics components. Tanon, a subsidiary of EA Industries Inc., provides electronics manufacturing services. Tanon will ask a Bankruptcy Court to approve the deal, according to Smartflex.
