Here’s a way to solve the coin-toss controversy:

Before the toss, the visiting captain will place both of his hands on his head (for heads) or place both his hands on his rear end (for tails). Hands are to remain in place until the coin comes to rest and the referee signals the winner by placing his hands in a similar manner.
