The city’s Neighborhood Improvement Program has received an award of excellence from the California Redevelopers Assn. for its accomplishments in the Stuart Drive neighborhood. The CRA is a nonprofit group that considers redevelopment projects from throughout the state for its annual award.
The Stuart Drive area has been the focus of a city-developed improvement plan in which city employees, property owners, residents, school officials, social service providers and the business community clean up a neighborhood.
