Groups Sue to Halt Release of Lynx
Agricultural groups sued to stop a plan to import and release the rare Canadian lynx into two national forests in Colorado, saying cattle and sheep grazing might be jeopardized. The groups want an injunction to temporarily block the release of 15 lynx next month in the San Juan National Forest and the Rio Grande National Forest. Last month, the Colorado Wildlife Commission approved a plan to import 40 to 50 lynx this winter.
