Living Creatures Deserve Our Help
* I am appalled regarding your Dec. 6 editorial “Misguided Animal Aid Law.”
For the life of me, I cannot comprehend why it should bother you in any way whatsoever in helping a living creature. You come across as penny-pinching, greedy, hateful, mean, uncompassionate. You should write for the Wall Street Journal.
What little resources are spent to alleviate suffering and torture should be increased tenfold.
It is not just Hollywood that sees the value in caring for the Earth’s creatures but regular, run-of-the-mill American citizens who want to teach their children great values.
When a child is taught kindness, compassion, empathy and tenderness, the chances of becoming a murderer are decreased enormously. The added benefit is treating fellow humans the same. Thus there is some peace in the world.
You make me ashamed to be of the same species as you.
