Dozens of local and national businesses helped throw a Christmas bash for more than 750 needy children at St. Norbert Catholic Church on Saturday. Children were greeted by Santa Claus and a plastic bucket tied with a helium balloon, filled with goodies ranging from fruit to crayons.
A Latino children’s choir performed, and many of the youngsters volunteered to help make 84 pizzas from scratch. Local Girl Scouts and children from the church also donated hours of time and effort to the party, an annual event at the church.
