Travis Fenderson

Golden West, Sophomore

Basketball

Fenderson, a guard from Cerritos Gahr High, is a three-point specialist, to say the least. Of his 59 field goals through Friday, 48 were three-pointers. Fenderson scored 79 points as Golden West went 3-1 and won the consolation championship of the Riverside tournament last week. He was 21 of 55 on three-pointers in the tournament and is averaging a team-high 18 points.

Kelly Medlen

Golden West, Freshman

Basketball

Medlen, from Huntington Beach High, not only scored a season-high 25 points but also had the basket that broke a 56-56 tie as the Rustlers went on to beat Saddleback, 61-56, in the consolation final of the Hancock tournament. She finished the three games with 69 points, making 13 of 14 free throws, 21 rebounds and 14 assists. She also made the all-tournament team.
