First American Buys Southeastern Company

First American Financial Corp., a Santa Ana-based provider of real estate-related financial and information services, said Thursday it has acquired Market Data Center LLC, which provides real estate data to appraisers and agents in six Southeastern states.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Atlanta-based Market Data Center, a 30-year-old company, will retain its name. Tom Fore will continue as president of the 35-employee company.
