Villa Park High School has received approval from Orange Unified School District trustees to apply for the Student Leadership Grant through the state Department of Education.
The purpose of the grant is to get youths involved in achieving and maintaining a safe and healthful school that is free of violence. The money will fund programs that deal with conflict and anger management. The goal is to give students alternative strategies for settling conflicts, which would result in decreasing the number of incidents, suspensions and referrals.
