Row Over, So Envoy Goes Back to Cuba

Mexico has sent its ambassador back to Cuba, declaring an end to a spat over comments by Fidel Castro thought to criticize Mexican policies, the official Notimex news agency reported. Mexico withdrew Ambassador Pedro Joaquin Coldwell on Dec. 4 after Castro, speaking earlier at a meeting of Latin American leaders, seemed to criticize Mexico’s free-trade pact with the United States and suggested that Mexican youth knew more about Mickey Mouse than about their national heroes.
