Meko Parker

Cypress, Freshman

Basketball

Parker originally came to Southern California from Michigan to play at Fullerton College but things didn’t work out and he transferred to Cypress. He is averaging 14 points and coming off his best week of the season. Parker scored 60 points, including a high of 25, in three games as Cypress finished second in the San Bernardino Valley tournament.

Leah Wilde

Orange Coast, Freshman

Basketball

Wilde, from Capistrano Valley High, not only scored a season-high 22 points in the championship game of the Coast Christmas Classic, she also provided a key spark for the Pirates. OCC trailed, 21-11, when Wilde came in and scored seven consecutive points and OCC went on to an 84-72 victory over Cerritos. She had 25 points in the first two games of the tournament.
