FIRST TEAM
JACOB BOEDING
Saugus, Senior
* The No. 2 runner on the top-ranked team in the region placed second in the Foothill League finals, 16th in the Southern Section Division I championships and 11th in the state meet.
DAN KLAWER
Saugus, Senior
* The Foothill League champion placed sixth in the Division I final and seventh in the state to help Saugus finish third, two points behind champion Long Beach Poly.
KEVIN LELLES
Notre Dame, Senior
* A stress fracture above his right ankle caused Lelles to miss four meets near the end of the season. But the two-time all-region selection placed seventh in the Division IV final after winning the senior race of the Seaside Invitational in September and the Division IV sweepstakes race of the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational in October.
SETH NEUMULLER
Thousand Oaks, Junior
* An ankle injury kept Neumuller out of the Ventura County championships, but he returned to win the Marmonte League title and place 15th in the Division I championships.
MARK NEVERS
Oak Park, Sophomore
* The Tri-Valley League champion placed second in the Ventura County championships, third in Division IV and second in the state.
MATT SWANEY
Ventura, Senior
* The runner-up in the Channel League finals gave Ventura the best 1-2 punch in the state at the end of the season by finishing third in Division I, ninth in the state and 21st in the West regional.
SECOND TEAM
ROBERTO CONTRERAS
Nordhoff, Sophomore
* The most consistent performer for the state Division IV champions placed second in the Frontier League finals, fifth in Division IV and third in the state.
PATRICK DOLAN
Newbury Park, Senior
* Dolan placed third in the Ventura County championships and Marmonte League finals, but didn’t run in the Division III preliminaries because of disciplinary reasons.
TOM KUBLER
Viewpoint, Sophomore
* Didn’t get a lot of chances to run in top-flight events, but ran well when he did, finishing third in the Division V final and second in the state.
JASON LANNING
Buena, Junior
* The third-best runner in the Channel League behind Spiker and Swaney, Lanning placed fourth in the Ventura County championships and 22nd in Division I.
JEREMY LAW
Agoura, Junior
* Placed fourth in the Marmonte League finals, fifth in the Ventura County championships and 22nd in Division I.
ERIC PEATMAN
Hart, Senior
* Ran poorly in the Division I preliminaries, but was the No. 3 runner in the Foothill League throughout the regular season and finished third in the league finals.
NICK ZOETEWEY
Saugus, Sophomore
* The fourth-place finisher in the Foothill League finals placed 24th in Division I and 33rd in the state.
