Ice Dogs Lose to Utah at Home

Don Biggs scored two goals to lead the Utah Grizzlies to a 3-1 International Hockey League victory over the Ice Dogs in the first of a two-game series at the Long Beach Arena.
It was only the third loss in 16 home games for the Ice Dogs (24-10). The Ice Dogs are now two points behind Houston for first place in the Southwest Division.
The game-winner in third was scored by Brad Lauer, who stole a pass at the Ice Dogs’ blue line and beat goaltender Trevor Koenig at 6:16.
It was only Utah’s second victory in eight games against the Ice Dogs. The victory improved the Grizzlies’ record to 12-14-4.
