Keep an Eye on the Clock, er, Watch : Opportunity Speeds Along on Giveaway of Harley Timepieces
Kill a mouse, get a watch.
Sounds fair enough. But the chances of actually getting the watch are dwindling by the minute.
M.Z. Berger & Co., which produces Harley-Davidson timepieces under license from the motorcycle manufacturer, says it will send a new Harley watch and an audiotape of “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” to the first 20 people who mail them a computer mouse.
In an ad campaign called “Don’t Surf, Dude,” Berger says it has become distressed over the increasing amount of time Americans spend playing on their computers instead of taking part in the more interactive aspects of life.
Like riding Harleys.
Don’t fret, though, if you have a mouse to sacrifice but doubt you’ll be among the first 20. Berger will also send a Harley hat or T-shirt and a “Zen” cassette to the next 500 people who mail in their mice.
The address is “Don’t Surf, Dude,” 304 Hudson St., Suite 700, New York, NY 10010.
