MISSION VIEJO
Councilwoman Sherri M. Butterfield begins her second term as mayor Friday. The City Council unanimously chose Butterfield to serve in the largely ceremonial position earlier this month. As mayor, Butterfield presides over council meetings, but the position does not carry any extra voting power. Councilman Thomas R. Potocki was unanimously chosen to serve as mayor pro tem.
