WESTMINSTER
Any businesses that have permits to hang temporary banners have to remove the signs or renew their banner permits as of Friday, according to the city’s code enforcement division.
The banner permits, which allow businesses to advertise grand openings and special sales, are valid only for a total of 90 days out of every year and expire Dec. 31, senior code enforcement officer Vicki Morgan said. Businesses that don’t comply will be warned and then could be fined up to $65, she said. The permits cost $45. Information: (714) 898-3311, Ext. 256.
